NOC Technician

Would you like to be part of the team that provides provides first level support on all of Melita's Technology areas? As a NOC Technician, you will have the opportunity to provide such support while monitoring, reporting and eventually escalating any technical issues on Melita’s Network (Core and Distribution) and Technical Centre Facility as part of the Network Operations Center (NOC).

 
Responsibilities:

• Test, install repair and upgrade any equipment that needs maintenance 

• Lay and terminate cable (Copper, Coax, and Fibre) in the Technical/Mobile/Data Centre 

• Monitor and perform first level troubleshooting on all international IP Transit circuits

• Provide remote hands and eyes support for Data Centre customers (e.g. pass new cables (FO/Copper), power cycle of equipment, hardware replacement)

• Provide first level support to Business Fibre Customers on connectivity issues

• Update documentation of new installed equipment (internal and Data Centre customers)

• Have technical qualifications in Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology or Telecommunications

• Have experience in a technical role

• Be fluent in written and verbal English and Maltese 

• Be a team player 

• Be meticulous and have an eye for detail 

• Be well versed in use of standard PC software

• Be able to solve issues in the least time possible
